Important COVID-19 Information Update 2-5-21

The Stockbridge-Munsee Tribal Council and the SMC COVID-19 Taskforce continue to work diligently in fighting the COVID-19 Pandemic.  Tribal Leadership is in constant contact with its national and state peers to advocate on behalf of not only the Tribal Membership, but members of the community and their employees for resources such as access to COVID-19 testing and COVID-19 vaccines.

Vaccination

The Tribal Council and the Task Force continue to network with Tribal Nations, States and Federal organization to explore all avenues for resources to battle the COVID-19 virus. They can now add FEMA to the list of partnerships.  Wade Pommer, the Emergency Preparedness Manager, is collaborating with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to tap into their ability to assist in our Tribe’s overall COVID-19 activities primarily focusing on COVID-19 vaccination resources.

The Tribal Council understands that there has been some concern about being vaccinated. As part of the Tribe’s vaccination efforts they will be collecting information to determine how many Tribal Members and their household members and employee are willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.  The Tribe has created a COVID-19 Vaccine pre-registration process.  All Tribal Members are welcomed to complete the pre-registration form at www.mohican.com Your name will be in a databased that will be used to contact individuals with appointments, when vaccines are available.  The SMCHW staff will make contact for appointments.  You do not need to call or do anything further.  Tribal Members are encouraged to update contact information with the Tribal Enrollment Office.

Should you need help completing the form please call 715-793-4111 from Monday to Thursday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm central time.
