Presented by Stockbridge-Munsee Cultural Affairs Department
Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the Mohican Nation, known as Stockbridge-Munsee Community, the indigenous peoples of the lands you now stand on in the Housatonic River Valley. We extend our hand to you in a spirit of goodwill and friendship.
Our people hope that as you explore our new exhibit, garden and medicine cabinet, you are motivated to think of your place on these lands. We hope you think of how to be a good ally to our people and our land– a desire to keep our waters clean, respect our ancestors and cultural heritage, and make it a welcoming place for our citizens today as they return.
These beautiful homelands truly are our lands, our home and our heart.
We truly appreciate your gifts in support of our homelands reconnections and education.
