We are requesting all applicants to fill out the new application approved by Tribal Council. Starting with all applications submitted prior to November 2, 2021 and all those submitted after November 2, 2021.
This new application helps the department to have a better record of families. Especially, on page two for Ancestors and the APPLICANT’S BIOLOGICAL SIBLINGS.
The FEE is WAIVED if it has been paid.
Your place in the line-up will stay the same, PROVIDED you promptly return the application in the SASE we have provided for your convenience.
Updating your address is very, very important so all tribal departments that send mailings out have the correct address.

About
The Stockbridge-Munsee Constitution and Enrollment Ordinances govern the Stockbridge-Munsee Enrollment Office. The requirement for enrollment is proof of 1/4 blood or more Stockbridge-Munsee blood. Any person that wishes to apply for enrollment must fill out an application, a family tree, and supply a state certified birth certificate to our office. The Enrollment office asks that you do as much research on your own before contacting our office with any questions.
The staff reviews the application and a complete family tree is prepared using Tribal Rolls and documents on file in the Enrollment Office. The application is then forwarded to the Membership Committee for review and recommendations.
The Membership Committee is responsible for reviewing and making a recommendation on the enrollment application. The Membership Committee meets on the 4th Thursday of each month.
The Membership Committee then forwards the application to the Tribal Council for consideration and action. The Stockbridge-Munsee Tribal Council makes the final decision in all enrollment cases.
The Enrollment Office completes processing of the enrollment application in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
The Enrollment Office has the responsibility of keeping all Enrollment records. We will assist Tribal member's research their family trees if requested.
