Our History


The Stockbridge-Munsee Mohican Tribe is one of 11 tribes in Wisconsin. We have about 1,470 Tribal members, 34 percent of whom live on our reservation, which comprises 24,000-acres located in Shawano County.

Located next to the Mohican North Star Casino, it is tribally owned and operated by the Mohican Nation, and is within the tribe’s Division of Enterprise. Little Star Offers sale of fuel, tobacco products, convenience goods such as deli and dairy products, cold beverages, other grocery items, health and beauty products, and Mohican Nation apparel as well as Native Threads apparel. In addition Little Star provides seasonal supplies such as firewood and liquid petroleum gas to support the needs of the Mohican RV Park visitors.

Places to Visit


The Arvid E. Miller Memorial Library and Museum is the official repository for the archives of the Stockbridge Munsee Community.  Our primary goal is to preserve and protect our history and culture for the community and general public.
